  • Success For Your Business Plan Strategy Lies In Your Goals And Objectives

A key part of building your company’s business plan strategy is to articulate the mission of your company.  In short, your company’s mission is the part where you let the world know what you do.  Part of that mission will be to identify the goals and objectives you have set for your company in the short and long term.
Clear, understandable goals and objectives in a business plan strategy is key to clarifying the company’s important values to the team and to others.  Taking the time to identify them will also give you a map for how to operate, even when day to day issues threaten to derail you.
Goals and Objectives are actually different, and both are equally important to the success of your business:
Goals involve your emotions, and are the written description of what really matters to you.  The more you can describe your goals in a way that you can visualize them as real, the better.  If one of your goals is to become a million dollar company, your goal is less about the million dollars, and more about what the million dollars means to you and the way having it will make you feel.
Objectives are concrete descriptions of the steps you intend to take to achieve your goals.  First you set and meet your objectives, and achieving your goals will follow.
Objectives can best be described as the fuel you need to work every day passionately toward achieving your goals.  A race car will never win the Indy 500 unless it has adequate, quality fuel to power it through the race.  A goal is nothing more than a passionate wish until you have clear objectives to follow to reach it.
Don’t start with a ton of goals, because the list of objectives you’ll need to achieve them will be overwhelming.  If you can identify three long term and three short term goals that will be plenty to begin.
Emotionalize the goals, and set clear objectives you and your team can follow every day to achieve them.  And, most important, as you succeed and meet your goals, make sure to revise your business plan strategy with more, always driving your company to success.

  • SMS Text Advertising 1 2 3

Mobile advertising is becoming more and more accepted, but most people still struggle with the mechanics of how SMS text advertising, which is the most common among most advertisers, work.  Here is a quick explanation:
    1.    Through other forms of promotion and marketing, a small business advertiser encourages customers and leads to key in a special text keyword.  Similar to an email list, when the consumer texts this keyword they have opted into the vendor's mobile distribution list.  The vendor can promote different marketing campaigns by using different keywords.
    2.    The customer who has opted into a distribution list by texting a keyword will receive an automated response message from the vendor.  The vendor can even set up recurring automatic responses or different responses if someone texted a keyword in more than once.
    3.    The vendor can then send out bulk SMS text messages to their mobile distribution list, or just a selected portion.
Creativity is the only roadblock in how SMS text advertising can be used by an advertiser.  Some uses include sending out notice of special sales, restaurant specials or coupon discounts, service vendors sending appointment reminders, and real estate agents sending information about selected properties.
Voting and contests by popular TV shows is one well-known way SMS text messaging has been used.  You could even send out a message telling your subscribers that you have a new post to your blog.  It can be very effective to set up advertising campaigns to coordinate between email messaging, IM and text messaging.
Mobile text advertising is fast becoming one of the best ways for small business owners to keep in touch with their customers and to establish relationships with potential new customers.

  • How To Turn The Disadvantages Of Mobile Advertising Into Opportunity For Your Small Business

Mobile advertising has become an integral part of commercial business.  Nielsen studies indicate that there are 63 million mobile web users in America, and over 90% of younger families have one or more mobile phones.   Information like that is causing increasing numbers of small to medium businesses to include mobile advertising as part of their marketing plan.
Because mobile advertising doesn’t compare well with traditional advertising strategies, it is important to keep its disadvantages in mind when creating your mobile marketing plan.
First, you must take into consideration that mobile devices still have a relatively slow data transfer speed.  In an environment where most mobile phone users have grown up with super high speed Internet, they can get very frustrated with the delayed reactions still experienced with most mobile devices.  While technology is advancing rapidly, this is still a challenge the mobile phone advertiser needs to be aware of.
Very few mobile phone surfers “surf” on their device, probably because of the slow data transfer speed.  Unlike online Internet users, people using mobile phones are typically looking for an immediate answer to a question, and are not willing to be diverted by a distracting ad that is not relevant.
Because of these challenges, mobile advertisers are focusing less on diversion advertising or pop up distractions, both which are heavily favored on the Internet, and more on In-page mobile search engines and SMS text messaging campaigns.
Studies have shown that the SMS mobile advertising and mobile search engines are actually very well received and can be up to 50% more effective than traditional Internet ads if they add value and help the mobile phone user solve their immediate needs.  This can be a real competitive advantage for entrepreneurial business owners, as they both are economical and can fit any budget, as well as simple to begin immediately.

  • Engagement Of The Viewer A Big Advantage Of Mobile Advertising Over Online

Today with every dime on the line, small business owners are really keeping track of their marketing budgets.  It may be surprising to hear that one way you can make your marketing dollars stretch is to use mobile advertising as part of your overall marketing plan.
Advertising has the ultimate objective of converting leads into customers.  When an ad is effective and used in connection with other marketing and promotional efforts, this goal is met.  Internet advertising has become a popular method of achieving this, for example PPC advertising or banner ads.
Mobile phone advertisement is another possibility for the small business advertiser.  Research has indicated that mobile phone ads can be four to five times more effective than Internet advertising.  The reasons for this surprising statistic are varied,  but a key indication is that consumers are more engaged when using mobile phones and other devices than when surfing the Internet.
